A Night of Anané's Selections @ Submercer...Mercer Hotel, NYC

3/14/09

Saturday night at the Submercer...the ultra-exclusive bar and lounge secretly located 2 floors beneath the Mercer Hotel. The entrance itself is enough to make you feel like you're in the opening sequence of Get Smart (think freight elevator, long, narrow hallways and a number of doors). I had the privilege of going there last night to hear the incredibly beautiful and talented Anané (singer-songwriter, DJ and wife of Little Louie Vega) spin. Great music, cool atmosphere and lots of fashionable people...now this is how I like to spend a Saturday night.

Anané...could she be any more stunning? Geez.

I love a girl who knows how to pose (and how to rock fur on her shoulders)...

...Equally, I love it when a man knows how to pose (and work the oversized handbag)

The shoes, the belt, the glasses...she just colored me happy

Karmela Lozina...the rock star of hair stylists. I don't know why it never occurred to me to take her picture in the past when I've gotten my hair cut. She's always rocking a fun outfit. To top it off, she's insanely talented (and quirky...someone needs to do a reality show on this girl!). For anyone in need of an amazing hair stylist, go see her. You will not be disappointed.

The flash on my camera didn't seem to want to work as I was taking this guy's picture. But I actually like how the street light is casting a yellow light on him. What about that tie...?
